In the 1950s, a man named “Li Wancheng” pretended to be a military man to practice fraud in multiple places. He managed to get government positions by falsification of his previous experiences. Though his tricks were not clever at all, people around him were so credulous that ended up as his “tools” that facilitated Li’s pursuit of personal fame and interests. Some even set him up with girls and helped him get married. It was not until someone noticed some clues of his deception that the police began their investigation.
